Lonely bowling alley owner Billie (Lupino) hires creepy, possessive Warren Stevens after he shows...

An episode of "Four Star Playhouse" titled "Dark Meeting". Originally broadcast on CBS on 5 January 1956, this however is a syndication print under the "Star Performance" title, but still runs approx 25 minutes. Episode stars Ida Lupino, Warren Stevens and Elliott Reid. I'm not sure why, but I find this episode to be somewhat atmospheric.

CBS RADIO WORKSHOP CBS Radio Workshop was a revival of the Columbia Workshop of the late thirties. All 86 episodes survive today. The series aired from 27 Jan 1956 until 22 Sep 1957, of course on CBS. The original idea for the show came from Irving Reis back in the thirties. What he wanted was an experimental workshop, a sustaining program where actors, writers and technicians could produce scripts the sponsors might be afraid to try. The time was right in the late fifties to try this concept...

1957 sitcom starring Betty White and Bill Williams as a middle-class newlywed California couple....

A somewhat dated episode of the short-lived (1957-1958) sitcom "Date with the Angels", starring Betty White. In this episode, Vickie is worried when a stunted palmtree is being removed. At least three other famous actors appear in this episode (Nancy Kulp, Richard Deacon, and Burt Mustin). In fact, the rest of the cast, while not "famous", were also prolific: George N. Neise, Maudie Prickett, Richard Reeves, Bill Williams, and Fred Sherman.

Some hints from Harry Wilson; At 16:20, Bob and Ray mention that Helen Harkness had been in England to cover the coronation. The coronation of Queen Elizabeth took place on Tuesday June 2, 1953, so this episode would be after that date.
